is there a way to update my baseband to 16.5.5 , only with out useing dfu mode or coustuom frimware for 4.0.1 can it be made with this baseban update
:apple:

There is no 16.5.5. I don't know what drugs you're on, but you're obligated to share. :D
You have to use DFU mode. If your home button or power button is broken, get those fixed first.

From what it sounds like, you want to update your baseband, but stay on an older firmware. If that is the case, then save your shsh blobs, update the firmware, then use the shsh blobs to downgrade back to the firmware you want. Once baseband is updated, it will not downgrade if you downgrade your firmware.
