Why does my iPhone 3G keep going into "safe mode""

WHY?!?! it's driving me crazy i have uninstalled the latest thing i installed in cydia but it keeps doing it. It just did it when i got text message while in a app and i pressed view the text and it went into safe mode. Please help.

P.S i have a 3g, 4.2.1 6:15:00

There's something that keeps crashing the phone at startup, and the jailbreak is bringing you into safe mode. You should look into what you have installed into Cydia lately and try removing it and seeing if it helps you out.
 
The same thing is happening to me on my iPod Touch 2G on firmware 4.2.1. I've only installed one package, Infinifolders, going to see if it crashes now. :)
 
If you install an app from Cydia that is currently not updated for the new iOS then that will cause your iPhone to go into safe mode or going into a constant boot loop.
