I'm having the most annoying problem with my iMac. The above mentioned applications crash constantly, saying "xxxx quit unexpectedly" along with the crash details, which I've pasted below.
I've looked and it's been suggested creating a new user account and copying ~/Library/Preferences/*.plist files from that new account to your existing one. I tried that and it worked, but only for a half an hour or so, after which the crashing resumed.
I've also ran a RAM test which indicated everything is just dandy. Then I also physically removed every module (there's 4) and used each individually, trying to isolate the bad module, but the crashing occurred on every single one of them.
Removing my user account and starting fresh is not an option. I'm aware of this "fix" but most likely I'd be faced with this again later.
I've never seen this mentioned in the other threads that dealt with similar problems but I noticed the crashing stops when I unplug my ethernet cable or turn off AirPort, depending on which interface I'm using at the time. I simply cannot get the apps to crash when I disable my network interface.
If you have any ideas on how to go about this please take a look at the crash reports and offer your thoughts.
Thanks
