I have an iMac that I keep all of pics and music etc. I will be purchasing a mbpro and would like to edit photo's in iphoto on the mbpro. I'm assuming you can somehow share a drive? Is this possible. I guess i could also use a virtual machine of some sort. Please let me know what my best options are. Thanks.

You should be able to share a drive. I have a situation where both my wife and I share a library with our different sign-ons. Apple recommended partitioning the hard drive and have both users choose that specific iPhoto library file to work. If your drive was an external or on your network, as long as you can find it in finder you should be able to use it. It will take a bit longer if you are wireless however.

I have an external drive on my AirportExtreme and it seems to take a minute to find it and request access. Once it is connected it is easy though.
