SOOOO!!! backuped and updated my iphone for the first time ever soooo mad right about now. dont understand why i can restore apps on my phone but the important information i cant 
. so the deal is.....
i backed up - with out a password (dont be like stuiped people at mac and tell me i had one i didnt) i have a password to unlock my phone and for itunes but never ticked that box!!!.
i updated - it took 2 hours to do the update because i didnt even know about it
i then clicked restore from back up or whatever the hell you do so that u can get your back up back................... it then comes up and says back up last performed 01.01.2001!!!! i didnt even have the phone then neather did anyone else !!!!!!!!!! all the dates in my computer and i tunes are todays date! it only gives me one option for the back up to be restored from and that is labeled as unknown. then asks for a password... i tried my itunes i tried my iphone unlock code NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i then tried every password i have used in the last 12mth which is how long ive had the phone but ive only had itunes for the last 3 mths cause im not mac savve at all.
anyways search my pc for the backup which happened on the 8th and it found it!! the folder that is and i write up or whatever which i nautrally cant open anyways.
has anyone had this happen to them!!!!
can anyone tell me if as long as i have that folder if those msgs are saved??? i care about the contacts as well but im totally spitting about the msgs being gone and the fact that they let you put all your apps back but oh no not msgs!!!!!!!!!!!!
