iPod touch ipod touch 2ng gen springboard problem

hi i have an ipod touch 2nd generation, jailbroken.
the problem is that springboard crashes continiusly...:confused:
ex. when i am pressing a link to go to safari an open it spring board crases
ex.2 when i am to safari end by multytasking go to a game springboard crases
help me to fix the problem!!!

Yes 4.2 it crashes and when I press links from apps to other apps ex.settings to Cydia

I have the same problem.... I've decide to restore mine, and when my internet get fast (I curtenlty have capped internet) Jailbreak it again with iOS 4.1 or 4.0

This idea is good but I want the 4.2 iOS not 4.1 4.0.1....
but could rejailbreak it Putin redsn0w the 4.0 firmware or I crash my iPod 4ever?

I also wanted to 4.2 update but i also wanted the multi-tasking to work.

I dont think you would crash you ipod forever... i manage to downgrade my OS before using Tiny umbrella
