I'm using OS X 10.4.11 Tiger so this might be different on Snow Leopard, but won't clicking the oval shaped button at the top right of the title bar hide the icons?
Yes but it also hides the Sources bar.I'm using OS X 10.4.11 Tiger so this might be different on Snow Leopard, but won't clicking the oval shaped button at the top right of the title bar hide the icons?
It would and will hide the icons in Mac OS X10.5 and 10.6 too, but I think the OP wants to go the route of having that empty, grey toolbar up there too.
The trouble is, post #1 is so vague that it's impossible to know wth is so "snazzy" about that picture. [To me, an empty toolbar is useless... not snazzy.]
I do notice some divider lines in the PLACES section (e.g., between Applications and Documents) which seem nonstandard... so maybe that's what this thread is supposed to be about.
