Hi recently my macbooks airs screen went black. I can barely see anything.
I read on the internet that this is probably caused by lightbult or inverter board, but that information was on macbook or macbook pro, i couldn't find any information if its the same issue with macbook airs..

Has somebody had similar situation? How have you solved this issue?

Thanks.

Perform the software update. Display issues with random symptoms were a normal situation. I had four new MBA's all were affected, the recently offered update took care of it. Now all is well.

Hi thanks for such i quick reply, ill try to do that though i doubt that it'll fix my issue.

I had this problem with my Rev. B. Had to shut it off manually (using the button) and restart it, and now it's working fine. Have you tried that?

It's probably a hardware issue, but try resetting your parameter RAM: shut down, reboot while holding command-option-p-r (it helps if you have three hands), keep holding them down through two "bongs", then let up and see if it boots normally.

If not, make an appointment with the Genius bar. I'd expect your machine is out of warranty; if so you can have it completely refurbished for a surprisingly good price. Of course, if you still have AppleCare active, all's good, it'll be covered.
