Hi everybody :)
Sorry if this is a stupid question, or it was answered before, but I have never had an iphone and I am totally ignorant about it.
I am planning on having an iphone 4 bought in Italy and that would be factory unlocked. My question is: will I be able to use it just wireless here in the US without a sim card in it?
Thanks for any help :)

You mean just like an iPod Touch without any cell service and the ability to connect to wifi? Then, yes.

Hi all!
So I got my factory unlocked iphone but I don't know what to do about it.
How can I by-pass the "insert your sim card" message and be able to connect to wi-fi, use the camera, play music etc. etc. just like an ipod?
I do not have a micro sim card to put in it and I don't need phone service.
Please help!!

Just find any GSM sim card and trim it down to microsim size.
Even if its an old or inactive sim it will activate an i4 thats factory unlocked and will let you into the homescreen.
You just gotta plug it to itunes with a sim inside.
It didnt come with any microsim at all?

No, it came with no microsim. I tried to trim and insert an old inactive sim card, plug it to itunes but it made no difference... still "no sim card installed..." message.

If it said no Sim installed then you didnt trim it right.

I guess I will have to get a new sim and try again. Thank you for now :)
