hello
i have new iphone 4
yesterday i noticed that there is a very very small red pixel in the middle of the screen
and its appear only with black backgrounds
after making a search i know that red pixel is stuck and black pixel is dead
i tried programs that supposed to fix this stuck pixel but its still there
its not very noticeable but whem some one pay 1200$ for something he wants it complete and working very well
my question , is this stuck pixel will be fixed by it self ??
i am hesitating to go to apple stoe and get new one because i spent 2 days installing programs and adding contacts numbers manually
but if this will not fixed by its self i must go to apple store
any body have any advice ??

Have you synced this new phone to a computer with iTunes? It will make a backup, then a replacement phone from Apple can be restored from that backup and you've lost nothing at all.

I think the folks at the Apple Store can do the backup & transfer at the store as well, if you don't have access to a computer.

As for the dead pixel, it sounds like a hardware defect and no, it will not fix itself. I'd carry it back for a replacement.

one stuck pixel =/= dead pixel

in other words its within the specifications = no replacement

suck it up you whiny brat

umm chill out?

i would be as pissed as the OP, i paid £600 outright for my phone, i expect it to be PERFECT.

OP i would take it back and demand a refurb replacement. if worst comes to worst just claim you are having antenna issues and they will swap it.

oh and for god sake restore it before you take it back! the genius wont touch it if it is jailbroken.

Another thing to do is to copy a black image in your camera roll so the issue is easier to show.

As far as I know, one dead pixel is enough for a replacement thru Apple, but you have to deal with a human being in the process. If it were one dead pixel at the extreme edge of the screen I might consider it not worth the trouble. But near the center where it will be annoying, I'd ask for a replacement.

i took it again
genius guy didn't notice any dead/stuck pixel
he called another genius guy and he neither didn't notice any thing
and sure the background was black
i tried to show them where is the dead pixel but it was very hard to me to see it
so they refuse to replace it for me
and i cannot tell them that my iphone have antena problem
because its not exist in my iphone :(
