OP...you've got to be kidding. The current size is a balance between size and heft. Read all the threads complining the iPad is too big, heavy, and difficult to hold for long periods of time. Aplle doesn't even make a 20" laptop. Don't expect a 20" ipad.

I beg to differ. In the portable mode, it's just the right size. Not too big and not too small.There's not enough screen space to work on the 9.7 inch screen.
It would be nice to have a desktop version that is 20 inches or larger. I'm thinking of a drafting table with one on top type set up. What a nice way to interface with a computer. And it would be transportable.

this reminds me of when the ipad was first released and everyone was all pissed off it was 9.7 inches instead of 7 inches. everyone was posting that ad with the ipad in a single huge back pocket because it wouldnt fit. actually a 20 inch ipad that had pressure sensitivity would be pretty badass.
so I always thought mine was 20 inches until I saw this topic. Just got out the ruler and guess what 9.7 inches... oh well....
