I want to listen to my iTunes library from home while I'm at work. Doesn't seem too technically difficult, as I already have a SOCKS proxy setup through SSH for web browsing.

I get the feeling that the procedure linked below doesn't work anymore since RendezvousProxy hasn't been updated in forever and they are saying not to update iTunes to the latest version.

Does anyone have a setup like this that is still working with iTunes 10? I assume iTunes sharing (and HomeSharing?) still use the DAAP streaming protocol over Rendezvous.

I like apps like Air Video and StreamToMe for my iPhone, but it seems like a similar solution should exist for desktop-to-desktop streaming.
