Hey guys, it is crucial that i get great working ram. I have to go into heavy recording over this winter to bust out an album for Universal. Ive been looking at a few different brands and im not sure what to go with. I would like to stay in the price range of $120 & below, but most i find under 120 a lot of people seem to always have issues.

Crucial's seems to be great, not 1 negitive complaint, but its so damn expensive, any insight would be awesome. Thanks so much.

Here are a few im looking at:

Crucial $150

Mushkin $115

Gskill $100

Gskill $115

You could buy two of these, which is the exact same thing as the crucial kit you listed, just $48 cheaper.

holy crap, i would give you a hug if i could right now, I mine as well just do that then.:D:D:D

i guess the model numbers being different doesnt mean anything then does it?

I imagine they're just different because one is a two piece kit, and the other is a single module, since they are the exact same spec.

The Gskill looks like a solid deal. Especially the bottom one with $15 off the $115. I'd go for that one unless you don't mind your budget.. $50 can go to a new bag, case, or half a week of groceries.

Alright, thanks a lot dude, I am going to order this then, thanks for searchin it out.

No problem, its a good thing its still in stock and the promo for the $15 discount expires tomorrow!

lol oh no not you thinkin blue, i went with crucial $50 for 4gig stick each, so its same pricing as the $100 deals on there.

haha :)

You sir, should be a newegg salesman!

I was debating over and over and was finally going to go with OWC 8GB kit for $120.... but $100 for Crucial 8GB is hard to pass up.

Much debate about this recently. OWC is usually who I turn to, but they seem to have gotten a bad batch, so in this case it's not worth my time or aggravation to buy from them

Here's a link for Crucial RAM, $97.89 + shipping, comes in at about $106.

You can buy directly from Crucial for $116.99, free shipping. And if they lower their price within 45 days of purchase, you can call and get a price adjustment. This is what I did.

Why would you do that instead of the link already posted? $101.99 + free shipping.

OWC.

Amazing product. Lifetime warranty. Fast shipping.

I've used them many times, and they are amazing. Highly recommend. :)

I agree. My SSD is from them. But they do seem to have gotten a bad batch of RAM in. And $20 cheaper for crucial RAM is a rarity... normally it's around $30 MORE than OWC ram.
