about 2 months ago i bought a sony dsc-hx5v.its a nice camera but..... when connecting to my mac Iphoto opens automatically like its supposed to but Imovie i have to manually open. Recently IMOVIE will not open the card and import any files. I am running the right version of imovie and my computer sees the stick on my desktop. i can open the stick manually and see files but i cant do anything with them. once i tried to reformat the stick in the camera and it worked ONCE. i have never had a problem with my previous sony products but this is just stupid. any ideas?

I don't like that iPhoto opens for video... So what I do is open Image Capture. GO to Preference and select which App you want to open when attaching the camera. Then also create a folder to store your video clips/photos on your Mac. Then export them to iMovie and see if that works.
