MacBook is plugged in and says it's charging, but it's losing percentage. Help!

I have a 2010 MacBook Unibody and the charger is plugged in and it has the orange light on and the computer says it is charging but as I use my applications and such, it loses power and it's not being charged at all. Anyone know why this is happening?
