OK. so I have a 27 inch samsung 1080p display and I have a 13inch macbook connected to it by Mini DVI Port to vga adapter. the picture quality is great for my needs and all the icons are small which gives me lots of screen real estate. I just got the mac pro and I have a DVI cable. when I connected the DVI cable to the 27in monitor, the icons are much bigger thus less screen real estate. Now! I went into the preferences and made sure it was at its highest resolution. I dont know what to do. Why is this happening? would buying a mini display cable solve this?
thanks
