Is there a way to change the screen off/lock animation (locking the screen, not shutting down the phone) in ios to make it similar to the new android gingerbread animation? It looks like a old tube tv shutting off. Can you even edit this in ios, if jailbroken? I did a search and couldn't find anything about it on ios. I did find on some other sites where people made a similar animation for windows mobile and other versions of android.

A new paid tweak in cydia just released a few hours ago:
its called "Tv Tube Sleep" from the bigboss repo
its so beautiful......lol :)
theres a bit of delay with the lock sound....but i hope they can tweak it even further

1.3 fixes this. Thinking about making a matching winterboard sound tweak to go with it.

I just got this and it works from my lock screen as well..... Definitely worth $.99 to me! Little things like this make jb'ing awesome!

That sounds more like a "start up" noise than a "shut down" noise.

I haven't had HBO for a long time. Doesn't it make a shut down noise after the credits? I know that it makes a "turning on" noise and animation at the start but I thought there was a different one for the ending of shows.

If not it's just my memory failing me once again...lol! :)

Cool tweak :D
But is it just me, or is it whenever you put the phone to sleep shortly after waking up, the tweak would not anymore until a respring?

I noticed this too, ctbear. I downloaded an update and now it stops working after a couple of locks of the phone.

Hopefully they'll fix this and update it again soon.

There's been 2 or 3 updates the past couple of days. I've been turning mine on and off without any problems.

The developer released a new tweak called SleepFX. It's $4.99 but has a bunch of new sleep animations (including tv sleep) and includes sleep sounds that you can turn on and off in settings.

There's a preview clip of it on youtube but no other videos yet since its to new.

yikes.
the 99cent app is nice, simple, funny.

the $4.99 app is just unnecessary; too much production for the act of shutting off your iphone...
