Issue with full size contact pictures and gmail exhcange worked out?

Does anyone know if this has been fixed? With gmail exchange contacts the caller ID pic is the small one and not the full screen. thanks.
 
Wait, when someone calls you, instead of showing the contacts picture in full screen, you get the small icon instead? I actually prefer that considering that the full screen contact pic ends up looking pixelated on my iPhone 4.

So how does your phone do that?
 
I think only pictures added by the iPhone are shown in full screen. Add them in Address Book and they will show a small icon instead.

I assume the same logic is behind the issue with Gmail, although I haven't tested that.

Nope that doesn't work. I put pics from Camera Roll in my contacts and they still don't come up full size.
