A guy at the apple store told me i could buy a new battery (because my macbook is telling me "Replace:Now") for $130. He also said i could come in the store and essentially trade in my battery and get a little bit off that $130. Does anyone know how much you get off

How old is your MacBook? I have the 13 inch aluminum 2 years old (I think). My batter was acting goofy w/the life left and it may have said something like that with the battery, but can't remember. I took it to Apple, they said let it run completely out, don't put it on the charger for an hour or two to completely drain it...then let it charge completely.

That's not the right procedure. For correct battery calibration procedures, read this, which should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions: Apple Notebook Battery FAQ
