iPod touch I can't download Apps!

I'm for some reason unable to download any apps or get any updates.
I have tried using itunes for the updates but it says my network connection timed out when it is working fine.Help????!!!

Are you talking about AppStore Apps? Do you have Icy installed? This happened to me a few weeks ago and I think I fixed it by uninstalling Icy. If you have StayOpened installed, uninstall that too. I was also getting problems with that. I think the authors of those apps are toying with forces they do not understand.
