Hi.
I have had an unlocked iPhone 4 for a while now on pay as you go. When I changed from 3GS to 4, I kept my O2 SIM which still contained half a year of free unlimited web.
Well, January '11 and this all comes to an end. I basically want to know what the cheapest and best (coverage, cust support etc.) carrier/price plans on pay as you go are in the UK.
I am probably OK with a 200MB cap as I don't use the mobile internet as much as now I have Wi-Fi (I used to always be going over my 500MB cap… whoops.)
I generally text a lot more than I call as well.

So yeah… Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm in a similar position to the OP, I"m sick of the O2 network coverage. My iPad is on 3 and it's a much better network but god help you if you ever need any customer service.

I was kinda hanging on for Everything Everywhere to develop into something interest but there's no sign of that yet.

GiffGaff is probably the cheapest PAYGO network. They have had an unlimited internet promotion for some time to all customers (until they get a billing system in place), but even when this expires, you will still get unlimited internet for £10 a month.

They operate in the O2 network similar to Tesco.

Not a traditional operator though. In terms of support etc they rely on the community a lot. Worth a shot.

I can endorse GiffGaff as well. Great prices and with truly unlimited text and data! None of the fair usage policy either!

Three do the following deal for £10 a month, rolling contract:

100 any network any time minutes
2,000 Three-to-Three minutes
3,000 texts
1GB internet
Free Voicemail

Pretty good if you're not a heavy voice user.

£10 on GiffGaff

150 anytime minutes
Unlimited giffgaff to giffgaff minutes
Unlimited texts
Unlimited data

Unlimited means unlimited. No fair use policy.

T-Mobile

not Pay as you go but!

£10 for 12 months often available for £7.50

600 mins
500 texts
Unlimited Internet (3GB)
Flexible Booster, I have Unlimited Landline Calls

oh and it carries on after 12 months
