Iphone 4 iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak

I understand it's a tethered jailbreak if I am understanding correctly, but is there one that is out that works good?

I was thinking of doing limera!n jailbreak again on it, which from what I've read works great, it's just tethered.... any ideas/thoughts on this?

From folks who have actually done it... tired of filtering thru all the guesses.

Tethered or nothing, those are your choices. I think tethered is stupid as it could leave you without a phone when you really need one.

Since when was that program updated to work on 4.2.1?

Untethered jailbreak for I4 is on schedule to be released before Xmas.

But now im seeing GeoHot new limera!n will be released soon to JB ALL devices on 4.2.1.

They are delaying the launch of iOS 4.2.1 untethered Jailbreak as mentioned in this article, the tweets which were mentioned previously that it is going to be launched before Christmas is no more there, I think they need more time and work for this untethered version
 
Actually there was speculation that 4.3 would be out pretty soon, likely they were waiting to see what is up with that. Wouldn't want to burn the hack only to have it patched in a week or two.

musclenerd has there is no evidence about 4.3 since apple would have beta's out there for the Dev's. however rumors are rumors and time will tell. Maybe Apple is finally starting to relax on JB's. yeah I know I dreaming there.

Actually the article doesn't say that the JB has been delayed. I just says that the musclenerd tweets had been removed. It also mentions something interesting, in that there are 2 untethered JB's on the way: one from DevTeam and the other from Comex. Until Musclenerd explains the reasons for the deletion of the tweets we can assume that there is a good chance that it will be released as planned.

So limera1n does not currently work tethered then? I was under the assumption it does.

I assume redsn0w does?

I'm still rocking 4.1 and have no issues. I don't really mind being tethered if there is an option available.

Just hard to find the facts of what EXACTLY is working tethered for iphone 4 on 4.2.... some places say one thing, another says something different.

Any def. answer to this? Which ones are working tethered?

ultrasn0w works for the tethered.
