I have thus guy from craigslist selling iPhone4 for $300

It is 16gb and has a very little ding on the top and bottom (barely visible) that's y he dropped the price.

But the phone is 4.2 and I have to wait for unlock from the dev team

What do you guys think?
 
Seems like a scan. They are going for $500+ on eBay. Otherwise, deal is too good to be true.
 
You gotta post pics of the phone to see the condition, we gotta know this massive steal that you just took. :p
 
Gotta be stolen/lost/misplaced ;)

No one in their right mind would sell a 16gb IP4 for $300 unless they're stupid or a crackhead. In which case it would definitely be a stolen phone.

Not necessarily. I bought a myTouch 3G on my local craigslist for $40, which I later sold for $200. In my case, it was just a kid whose parents bought him whatever he wanted (I met him and he's carrying a brand new MacBook Pro, iPad a month after release, a new iPhone 3GS, and he was sporting a shiny new @me.com address) and he wanted some walking-around money.

Some people do not know what the black-market prices go for. I bought my ip4 for $300 as well off craigslist. No problems at all. Don't assume that everybody knows the going prices for these devices.

agreed, and some people need the $300 to keep the hydro going in their homes, sure they could of listed it for $500 like the others on craigs list but then they are in competition with others to sell their item

make it a WOW price and it sells fast
 
Know what i would do with that? Sell it for $500 and thats a quick extra $200 bucks? And then buy an unlockable ip4

Also I got 32gb iPhone 4 from craigslist about 4 months ago for $450... I later unlocked it and now using it with T-Mobile.
