I'm not sure what the problem is, but my iPad (ios 4.2.1) will work fine all day long if i'm using it, but it seems like when i let it sit overnight the battery will drain from 90% to 45%. It doesn't make any sense to me, and there doesn't seem to be any programs that could be working in the background eating up my battery.

So any suggestions on what i should do? thanks in advance.

I had a launch day iPad that was having the same problem Took it to my local Apple Store and they ran a few diagnostic tests and determined that there was a hardware issue and swapped out my iPad for a new one.

If you have an Apple Store in your area, I'd give it a shot
