Hello,
Whenever I restore to a new firmware, I like to do a 'clean install' and restore my phone as a new phone. The downside to this is that I lose all of my saved data, SMS' etc.

I was trying to find a solution to this and I ran across this:
http://www.icopybot.com/itunes-backup-manager.htm

Does anyone have any experience with this product? I downloaded the 7 day free trial and it won't let me move information from one backup to another. What I would like to do is restore my phone as new, then go into the old backup and take my SMS', app data backup, Lockinfo information, etc. and move them to the newly installed firmware so I can have a 'fresh' install without losing important data.

Also, is there another way I can do this?

Thanks,
Henry

I'm interested to know if this works too.

Hey Henry,

Did you ever figure out how to do it? If so, how did you do it?

I just updated to 4.3.1 from 4.0.1, and my battery is draining insanely fast after the update. So I would like to do exactly what you proposed. Would love to know exactly how you did it, if you were able to figure it out.

Thanks.
