Right now i have an early 2009 macbook pro 15". It has 4 gb ram and 320 gb hard drive. I found a momentus xt and 8 gb ram that i really want to put in it. My applecare plan doesnt expire until summer 2012. If I put these into my computer will I be voiding Applecare. I have heard different things and just want a definite answer. Thanks in advance.

Apple Warranty: Installing Memory, Expansion Cards, User Installable Parts Does Not Void Warranty

From the MacBook Pro User Guide that came with your Mac, page 61:
Your MacBook Pro does not have any user-serviceable parts, except the hard drive and
the memory.

You're good to go. Just be careful when taking the top off as if your screwdriver slips, you will scratch the case which might make you cry.
