Safe to download iLife 11?

I dont have any way to back up my photos, and I know there was the problem of losing all your photos.

I really dont want to lose 4000 videos and photos.

You could just make a duplicate (copy) of the iPhoto Library in ~/Pictures/iPhoto before you install iLife '11.

Btw, there is no need for duplicate threads on the same issue, even though they differ in the thread title, therefore even have a different meaning, as "downloading" is not the same as "installing".
