I have a jailbroken iPhone 3g phone, 3.1.3

I had to erase all content and settings, I hit the erase button and 25 hours later, I still have the Apple icon and spinning wheel, sometimes, the screen will go blank and reset than back to the apple icon and spinning wheel.

I attempted to than connect the phone to my pc, did not sync with the pc and pc doesn't recognize the phone.

What can I do to fix the problem?

Also, I did this and did not work for me

1- shutdown your iphone with the hard reset "home button and power for 10 second"
2- connect the usb cable to the pc but NOT to the iphone"
3- open itunes
4- while the iphone is off, press the home button for 5-10 seconds then plus the other end of the white connection cable into the iphone
5- do not remove your finger from the home button
6- itunes will detect it and you can now restore it
7- finally you need to jailbreak it again..follow the web instructions

Once you hit that button, the iPhone will no longer boot. You will need to put it into DFU Mode to recover. Recover it to 3.1.3 if you want to keep your Baseband for unlocking.

How can I put it in DFU Mode if the PC won't recognize the iPhone?

I can not get the pc to recognize the iphone. I can get it to restart but not recognized by the pc. I left the iPhone for awhile, still nothing.

Any please...

Very frustrated, I've tried everything that I've seen on the forums and nothing has worked.

What did you use previously to jailbreak it
I bought the phone jailbroken, installed was cydia and intallous, cydia kept crashing and someone told me the only thing that could be fix it was to erase all the contents and start over.

Now, I was able to finally get stuck into recovery mode and posted my next problem here.

Stuck in recovery mode.
