read a book on xcode and still unsure about how to make my app
can someone outline the basic idea
 
Really, if a whole book didn't help, a forum post is not going to do it.

Books, or other lessons are the only way I'm afraid.

I found the Apress books very useful. There are plenty of lessons on YouTube also.

For a more professional approach, I found the Lynda.com course to be excellent, and well priced.

Finally, try iTunes U. The Stanford course on there is also excellent.
