Macbook pro battery says "replace now"

So ive only had my macbook pro for 6 weeks and today i look at the battery and it says replace now. Couldn't believe it. how could this happen so soon? Anyway, i don't have applecare as of yet but its still under warrenty, will this cost me anything? or is it covered?

That is strange indeed. However the good news is that you can get that replaced if you're still in the one-year warranty window.

It sounds like you will have to call Apple and they may have you run some tests to verify that the battery needs replacement.

now when i hit the battery symbol, the condition status doesnt come up at all. anyone no how to get it back?
