Received a TomTom car kit for christmas which is a pretty nifty little thing, really. But here's my dilemma...

I'm (unfortunately) still stuck with my iPhone 3G, with iOS 4 (also rather unfortunate for my poor 3G). I have heard there are bugs with the 3G that slow down the TomTom app quite considerably. Could anyone confirm whether this is still the case with latest updates etc - is it really a massive issue?

My alternative, of course is Navman. I'm quite happy to use Navman app but being as I live in a fairly crap - moderate area for GPS reception, could anyone confirm whether the Navman app would make use of the GPS booster in the car kit?

Thank y'al ;)
