Wireless 1080p to HDTV solutions?

Hi guys,

First of all let me tell you what i mean with wireless 1080p to HDTV.

I have wireless audio with my mbp to Airport Express hooked to Logitech Z5500. DTS sound etc. works great with iTunes.

I can watch movies on my mbp using Airfoil and get the sound on Z5500.

But now I'm planning to buy a HDTV and i like to have mkv 1080p movies with sound on the tv "wireless". Something like Airplay with Apple TV, but with mkv files stored on my mbp etc.

A option is to buy media players and play it through the network.
Something like WD TV Live Hub ( DTS sound / 1080p movies).

Are there other solutions?
