Combining iTunes files to make long mp3 file

I need to combine multiple iTunes files (most of which are not mp3) into a long single mps file to be looped as background music.

I can do it in an old version of iMovie exporting the file as an AIFF and then converting it to mp3 with Switch. There must be an easier way.

Anyone know one?
