Replacing my name with my wife's name on the PC

I have set my new ipod touch up on our PC. My wife has my older ipod touch which was set up on our laptop. My wife has set up an acc/username & password with Apple and her ipod has been set to her name. Do I need to de authorise the laptop to take my name out completely and then reload itunes. She has a library but when I connect her ipod to the laptop it still shows in my name. I'm lookong for the cleanest, simplest way please. Thanks
