My current setup is this:
iMac & MacBook --> TimeCapsule --> USB Disk (attached to the TC).
I would like to be able to 'clone' either the whole content of the TimeCapsule or, if possible, just the TimeMachine sparsebundle images so I can use the rest of the space as a shared resource for my AppleTV2 .
I guess I'm not going to able to create a RAID1 with my TC and the other USB external disk. I haven't tried it, but something tells me that TC's software wouldn't allow it. Am I right?
Also, if I use the 'archive' option of the TC, I will be forced to start from scratch every time.
So my kind of pedestrian solution is alternating manually these two scripts:
tmutil setdestination /Volumes/TimeCapsule
tmutil startbackup
tmutil setdestination /Volumes/Backup
tmutil startbackup
Is there anything, that you know of, capable of maintaining an incremental copy of the sparsebundle TimeMachine images stored on the TimeCapsule?
