Hi,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Crucial M4 64GB SSD and I want to check it'll work fine in a 2010 MacBook Pro w/ Lion. Has anyone had any problems? I've heard that since Lion doesn't support trim (for other SSDs than its own) it's not a good idea to use it.

Anyone know?

works fine on my late 2011 on lion.

I have the m4 256 with 2010 MBP with Lion here, no problems.

Update the firmware (which I believe is OSX compatible now if I remember correctly) Just have to burn the img to a CD, boot it up, it'll update and thats it.. I dont believe it'll erase your HD but read the instructions to be sure.

Also suggest TRIM Enabler. A quick google search and you'll find it to download in a minute.

M4 256G on a late-2011 mbp, and all is well.
after much research, have opted NOT to run trim enabler; even crucial thinks it's un-needed... (but certainly some swear by it...).

fast. little heat. quiet. did i mention fast??
