Deleted Pictures

Hey all, Mom some how deleted all her pictures, I'm not with her to see how she did it , but i know she doesn't have time machine setup, is there another way to recover them?

Did she do it in the Finder? Has she emptied her trash? If not she might be in luck and they can be recovered from there.

Apparently she emptied her trash i haven't had the to look at the computer myself
