Device storage isn't really an area of competition anymore. The people who care about having 128 GB in their iPhone are in the vast minority.

Yeah, agreed but to a certain extent... I wonder if there are any figures out there for exactly how many units of each denomination have been sold. I'd guess the 16GB would be most. Why? price.

So while there may not be too many people who are amp'd about a 128GB iPhone, you have to consider that this may drop the price of a 32GB and that may become the "norm" instead of the 16GB just assuming that the 16 is most popular. I may be dead wrong.

This is what I'd be hoping for.. Drop the 16gb down to $99 or something and bring the 32gb to the $199 price. The next iPhone is probably going to have me moving up to a 32gb if people keep developing awesome games lol. I don't have a huge music library, and I only keep a movie or tv on it if I'm traveling.

If we see an A6 processor/gpu and a larger screen in herbs next iPhone, we'll need some more storage space (and we'll probably have room for it unless they decide to go super slim). Guess it depends on how far iCloud comes before then

When a 128GB phone comes out the pricing structure will more likely be:

128GB - $399
64GB - $299
32B - $199
16GB (previous gen) - $99

I honestly don't understand these "No one can ever use more than 8/16GB on their phone" people. Even if I didn't want all my music on me (how has this mentality changed since iPods were released?), many apps are topping 2 or 3 GB these days, plus 1080 video, plus HD pictures...adds up pretty fast. Anyway, they'll come, it may be 2 years though.
