Hi Folks,

I'm still getting a black screen after awakening from sleep, with no response at all.
(forcing me to do a reboot - holding down power button)

Not regularly, probably every month or so.....

Is this a common problem with Mac OS X Lion and MacBook Pro's (2011 models)

Have you applied all the apple software updates and firmware updates available?

No it should not be a common problem. If it happens again next time and you are close to an apple store probably worth a visit in.
