I'm upgrading from a 3Gs too. I ordered it on december 3rd. It should be getting here on Wednesday. Excited!!

@OP: I made the same upgrade and did not regret it. The 3GS is a great phone, but the 4S is a step up in many respects.
Yah but it's really 2 steps up because you're skipping the iphone 4 as well.... Worth every penny all 24,600 of them

Supposedly the iPhone will be on sale at Target for around $175 with AT&T on the 11th, new contracts and upgrades apparently.
About a month ago there were dozens of these threads. Everyone posting their orders, whining about how long shipping takes.

Ha! What do you mean? I have had 2 4s phones now (sent the first one back) and I get pretty good battery life. On my first charge I got 8h 21m of use wiht 1 day 13 hours of standby @ 1%
I'm set up right now to get way more than that out of my current charge. If you're having battery problems, you should try to fix them or get apple involved in replacing your device.
Yeah but isnt weed like pretty much legal out there? I'd gladly pay taxes on the full price if I could go next door and "pick up my prescription"
It sure is worth the upgrade from a 3GS. The retina display is so beautiful, you'll love it.

Yup, bought two and was somewhat surprised when it came out to $500.
The iPhone 4 i use now was the first iPhone I've ever owned and have no plans to go back to the other makes !

What's 5.0.1 you ask? Yeah, your right, it's the taxes. It's 5% tax for the phone itself and 1% tax for having the "S" in 4S. OMG! Get me outta this thread.
If you are in the states why didn't you wait until Radioshack's sale? I know it's only 30 bucks but you've waited this long...
