This i one of a couple problems...

1st The home button on my iphone 3gs does not respond to anything except I get get into dfu mode using it.....

If it works to go into dfu, what could be causing it to not work everywhere else? Any known fixes for this?

2nd Every time I restore my phone it works fine for a bit but if i restart it or anything it tells me to connect to itunes and restore it AGAIN!

Any thought, ideas?

Thanks!

When you restore, do you set it up as new? If not, try setting it up as new. This means you do NOT use any backup at all. So before you restore, start by saving pictures, contacts, apps, music, etc. Contacts can be saved through Google Exchange.

If your home button is faulty then you may be eligible for a replacement from Apple. My iPhone 4 had a faulty home button, it would work when pressed on the left side but not when pressed on the right. Maybe this is something similar?

Can anyone explain why the home button will only work to get into dfu mode or why the phone makes me restore anytime its been shut off?

Cheers!
