I stupidly downloaded "Fan Control" a loooooooong time ago to test it out. Then i uninstalled it...Ive never had any heating problems (but my fans also have never spun up) but i was going through my processes today and saw "Fan Control Dameon" I don't think it should be there but i quit it anyway...my fans are still on so thats good lol. so, was that a process left behind by fan control? Or is it apple's fan control process (in which case i need to relaunch it)?

It's likely left behind from the deleted app. The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:
