CyberDuck U/L & D/L Speed Very Slow. Recomendations?

I used to use Filezilla for my ftp app but then turned to Cyberduck because it had a couple of features I required.

I've noticed the upload and download speeds on it are so slow. I've got top notch hosting and good broadband connection.

Uploading via the hosting's control panel file manager is quicker but it's too restrictive to use all the time.

What are your experiences? Any recommendations for a better app?
