hitachi 7k50 seems loud

i just got a hitachi 7k750 and it seems a lot louder than my previous seagate 7200 rpm drive. its just got a constant whooshing sound that is definitely louder. anyone else notice this?

same here - my hitachi drive has a louder swoosh noise, AND it makes an intermittent clicking noise.

so far though it runs fine - just a bit loud, which was surprising to me as most of the reviews I read said the hitachi drives were very quiet.

it is faster than the seagate though
 
yeah before i had my seagate i had a hitachi and it was loud so i returned it, i thought it was an isolated thing but i guess not. but i think ill keep this on, its not a huge deal.
