I get it to boot from the cd but it just shows a blinking cursor on a black screen and I have to restart it to get out of it it.
Mac details:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.8
I purchased it in late 2010.
Things I have already tried:
Changing/Swapping Ram
Different OS disk
Format of the Partition
Unplugging the Power supply?
This sudo command; sudo bless --folder /System/Library/Coreservices --bootefi
And yes my computer is up to date and no I'm not paying Apple $49 to "help me"
Thanks to anyone who figures it out...
