I just read that the latest kindle app now support magazines and book format from the Kindle Fire! This saves me from having to buy the Kindle Fire. Has anyone here tested this app on their iPad 2 yet? If so, how's the magazine buying and viewing experience like?

What's the problem with that? I understand why Amazon had to remove the ability to purchase in-app.
