You have to wait for a 4S jailbreak.
JB programs for iphone 4 or 3GS models will not work for the 4S, if they did we would all be jailbreaking our 4S iphones since day 1.

The iPhone 4 jailbreak on 5.0.1 (which is significantly easier) hasn't even been released yet.
You'll be waiting at least a month for a 4S jailbreak, maybe longer.
Maybe if this was a rule where newbies couldn't post for the first 3 months since their join date that would help? They would either be forced to read (and gasp! learn) to fill that 3 months or they'd just go away.
We discussed this several times already and nothing happen. This also eliminate scammers who join the forum just to promote their websites as well.

I wish the mods would just put a sticky at the top of the forum with a thread discussing the current JB status of the various versions. I have a feeling that the reason they don't do this is due to page hits, thread counts, etc. that drive advertising revenue.
No matter how many sticky threads are created telling people that a Jailbreak is not available for the 4s etc people will never bother to look and keep creating threads .
Best guess for 4s jailbreak is 1-12 months with a chance of never .. That is what i tell people.

.Please don't paint all of us with the same brush, though. Although technically I'm a "newbie" post-wise, I read this site for months before joining (even before owning my 4S), and only joined when I had something to say. I promise, we don't all have reading/comprehension/patience issues.
