Hey everybody, I'm going to Mexico on Wednesday for about two weeks and I was wondering if it would somehow be possible to unlock my phone so I could put a Mexican SIM card in it. I'd like to be able to have a local number so I can still have use of my phone and my friends won't have to fear long distance fees when contacting me. Is it at all possible?

There is a Mexico plan that is decently reasonable and you can get I think it's like 50 prepaid international text messages too. When I went to cancun over the summer it didn't cost too much, you just can't use it for long conversations just quick calls or text. After a week my bill was only about 25 bucks more. Just go to the AT&T website and check it out on the manage your plan part.

This, sadly, is probably your best bet.
AT&T will never unlock iPhones, so you're SOL.
