I have an iphone 3gS. FIRMWARE: 5.0.1 BASEBAND: 05.16.05

I have jailbroken the phone. Ultrasnow is supposedly not compatible with my baseband yet. So I searched online and the only other way I could find would be to upgrade the baseband to 06.15.00. When I try to do this by "Installing ipad baseband" in redsnow, it says something like ERROR! no sucessful firmware download after 60000 ms!! giving up..." on my iphone screen.

what do i do?

There are few possibilities for this issue.

1. Your internet connection.
2. Server is overload.
3. your PC.

So, trouble shooting the above 3 things should solve your issue.

I don't recommend using the ipad baseband with iOS 5 either way though... supposed to be quite buggy. If you absolutely need the unlock, downgrade to 4.1 (but if you have a recently manufactured 3GS, that might brick your device, so be careful)
