I'm thinking on buying a 27" cinema display for my Macbook Pro I'm getting next year but would late May 2012 be too late to purchase the cinema 27" display?

Why should it be too late?
Do you mean the LED Cinema Display or the Thunderbolt Display?
If it is the former, you might have a harder time finding it.

Thunderbolt display. Will May 2012 be a good time to purchase one?

It will be a good time as any. Or did you read some rumours, that it shouldn't be a good time?

I'm having a hard time when to buy a MBP for the Thunderbolt display.

I use photoshop a lot so the power of Ivy Bridge will help in that regard, but if I want the latest and greatest all the time then I'm never going to be happy.

Shall I get a 15" MBP (May 2012 I assume and the 27" Thunderbolt display around the same time)?
